IF "Robot"

Now this is a word I can get behind. I had so many wonderful robotty ideas swirlin' around in my head that I had trouble choosing one. I may even start a "Robot of the Week" feature at some point when I have the time. However I didn't do the best robot idea that I had simply because I didn't have enough time. It was going to be "Nazi pirate zombie robot from the center of the earth!", and at some point it may come into existence after all. Just not THIS point. Instead I have a rather generic humanoid robot and a very tiny amount of the build steps. Teeny-tiny.

All pics are clickable to make bigger (and I'm pretty sure I got it right this time) and comments are welcome, even negative ones (but not spam ones – those I set on fire).

Here he is in all his glory.

First sketch (second really if you count the aborted "NPZRftCotE" sketch I mentioned earlier)

Color is added with vector shapes, each one with a default value of drop shadow and a 2 pt. centered stroke. Boogity-boogity.

And this is a close-up of the chest monitor because the scan lines are lost at the lower resolution and I really liked how they turned out.

I hope next week's topic is a good one. Until then (unless I feel chatty) have a great week/weekend!

Cool, nic ework, fun to see the stages. Mary :-)
Great robot illustration. The yellow eyes and the "hi" sign are a nice touch.

you're right, the scan lines are a nice touch which get lost when viewed small.

Isn't that just how it is?

Almost looks like he is doing a vulcan sign or a Mork from Ork sign. Great job and love the stages. Nice one!
